USA Pavilion Green Wall Featured on Curbed

This summer, Milan hosts the 2015 World Fair – and dozens of pavilions built to embody the messages of various countries. This year, the fair’s them is “Feed the Planet, Energy for Life“. Bright Agrotech is proud to represent America’s contribution to this theme with the 7200 square foot green wall on the US Pavilion, designed by James Biber and powered by ZipGrow.

The highlight, which will be visible from the fairground, is the massive, living wall. Comprised of a grid of rotating hybrid hydroponics panels which include soil to help retain water and nutrients, the vertical farm represents a story of American agriculture, according to Biber, right down to the grids that recalls Thomas Jeffersons Land Ordinance of 1785.
